Job Title: Property Services Technician

Location: Position Covers Central VA & Charlottesville

Position Type: Part-time (Opportunity to go Full-time)

Burgess Inspection, Inc., a leading provider of comprehensive property inspection services, is seeking a motivated and skilled Property Services Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Property Services Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering our value-added services, including sewer scope inspections, indoor air quality assessments, radon tests, pool and irrigation inspections, and water tests.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform sewer scope inspections to assess the condition and functionality of residential and commercial sewer systems.
  • Conduct indoor air quality assessments to identify potential contaminants and provide recommendations for improving air quality.
  • Perform radon tests to measure levels of radon gas in properties and suggest mitigation strategies as necessary.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of pools and irrigation systems to ensure compliance with safety and efficiency standards.
  • Perform water tests to evaluate the quality and purity of water sources.
  • Assist answering phones while in the office and schedule inspections.
  • Additional duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • Clean driving record with a valid driver's license.
  • Radon certification is preferred. However, candidates without certification must demonstrate the ability and willingness to obtain certification.
  • Knowledge and experience in conducting property inspections, preferably in the areas of sewer scope, indoor air quality, radon, pool, irrigation, and water testing.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately record and report inspection findings.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and workload.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
  • Physical fitness to perform tasks that may require climbing, crawling, and lifting.
